One-page guide for your parent
This page is meant to be handed directly to your parent. Use your browser’s print function (Ctrl+P / ⌘+P) and the menus disappear, leaving a clean, large-print page. Post it by the fax machine. It also reads fine if you fax it to them.
What your fax can do now
Section titled “What your fax can do now”Behind your fax machine there’s now a helper named Faxi. It can send messages to your family and look things up for you. There’s no computer to learn — you use the fax the same way you always have.
✉️ Send a message (email) to your family
Section titled “✉️ Send a message (email) to your family”Think of this like posting a letter to family far away, except there’s no stamp or address and it arrives in seconds. Write your message on paper, send it by fax, and it reaches your family wherever they are. When they reply, their answer comes back to you as a fax.
For example, you might write:
Email my daughter
“How are you? I’ll come visit soon.”
❓ Ask Faxi to look something up
Section titled “❓ Ask Faxi to look something up”Like asking a friend who knows a lot, write down whatever you’d like to know and send it. Faxi finds the answer and faxes it back to you.
For example, you might write:
How do I make good miso soup?
What would be a good birthday gift for my grandson?
How to send it
Section titled “How to send it”Write the message or request you want on paper, in your own words. Then send it by fax to this number:

Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Handwriting is fine — please write clearly.
- Your reply has a reference number (Ref) printed on it. To carry on the same request, write that number on your next fax.
- If you get stuck, write “Help” on paper and send it to the number above.
If no reply comes
Section titled “If no reply comes”If nothing arrives after 15 minutes, send the same fax again.
